About PROJECT: No Reason

Here's what I am doing:
$10.00 from the sale of EACH print from this site's store (see link in menu above or in the last paragraph below to reach the store) will be donated to the WSCADV (Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence) to assist in funding programs to help get those stuck in abusive homes out.

Once the first 100 prints have been sold then the amount I will be donating doubles to $20.00 from EACH print after.

Over the years I have enjoyed taking photos of some amazing people, places and events. I’ve always enjoyed concert photography, street photography, and travel photography. Since I chose design as my "career" after my first paying photography job right out of college convinced me I preferred to save photography for "me", I have taken on photography projects that have been of personal interest to me. To be honest, I have never sold any of my photography before as finished individual prints, so this is a first. I have no idea what kind of response I will receive on this project, but I think it’s high time to find out, and to do something to help the kids and adults who are suffering under the abuse of others.

I figured selling prints of my photographs was a great way to give in two ways: 1) a portion of the money from the sale of each print will go directly to the Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence (WSCADV), and 2) people who purchase my work will have a tangible thing they can enjoy and hang on the wall to remind them of them that they have helped a great program in need.

I decided to not have the details of what happened to me growing up after my mother and father divorced on this page. It's in the past, and I've been working on putting it back there and moving forward. Let's just say the main person responsible for what I endured passed away a few years ago, which actually spurred me into action on this project.

I don’t want anyone else to be stuck in a situation I was in growing up because of a lack of help available for themselves or any person who could get them out of that situation - be it housing, food, or job training. There is no excuse for anyone to have to suffer from abuse in their home or watch a loved one go through it because they feel trapped due to the lack of means. There is NO REASON.

I did some research last year into which charities I want to help.  I decided on a local program that didn't use a large percentage of donations on administrative costs or huge PR campaigns. I found that WSCADV offers assistance to get those away from the abusers, and offer programs in helping with housing, job training, coping tools, and educating the public as well.

So, click on the link in the menu bar above or here: Store PROJECT: No Reason , to go through the gallery of photos and place an order. Also - any other images on this site I have taken that are not in the storefront (I'm limited to 50 in the storefront) are also available to purchase as prints as well. Just email me and let me know which image you are interested in, if it's not through the print store.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
