Bio

David Schneider is a designer and photographer based out of the Seattle area. Currently designing for The Costco Connection, his expertise in design includes logo and brand identity, billboards and posters, UI, package and product design. A photographer for over 30 years, he started taking his first photos in college while taking a general photography class he thought would help add to his designer toolbox of skills. By the time he received his BFA from Washington State University, he had certified in Photography and Graphics.  When it comes to David's current photography work; his travel, concert, and lifestyle images have appeared in various national and international publications, as well as extensive freelance work going back to 1984.

David has also utilized his creativity through such endeavors as designing a clothing line and partnering with a global distributor to produce this line while still attending WSU, published twice in national poetry collections, and gallery work in printmaking, ceramics and sculpture. If it allows David to express himself creatively - he will do it.

Expertise

Photographically my work focuses on capturing a moment in time, whether it's portraiture, lifestyle imagery, or just the perfect light. I travel extensively in my off-time and tend to bring back collections of work from the places I have been to - the UK, Spain, Italy, France, Greece, Turkey, Croatia, Montenegro, and all throughout the Western, Eastern and Southern Caribbean. I also have been lucky to have been able to photograph live bands that have come to the Seattle area since 1990. From Rock to Goth to Swing, some of the most intense photos I have captured have been during live performances.

Always experimenting with new techniques, I'm equally comfortable with analog and digital technologies, and use both according to the needs of the project.

When it comes to design, I integrate my experience in illustration, conceptualization, and digital design for a variety of clients for over 30 years. For the last 16 years I have been designing for The Costco Connection where I have enjoyed pushing my design and concepts with an intensely creative and skilled team.
